Your generosity helps survivors gain freedom from violence and abuse

Domestic Violence Survivor with Dog

YWCA San Diego County relies on the generosity of donors like you to power our mission and help survivors rebuild their lives. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funded by philanthropic and community support.

1 in 4 women, 1 in 7 men, and 1 in 2 trans and nonbinary people face domestic violence. With your support, we can ensure that survivors have access to our crisis interventions, housing and shelter programs, and advocacy and support services. Your tax-deductible gift provides hope for survivors and makes a lasting impact on those who desperately need our help.

Give Stock and Securities

Donating appreciated stocks, bonds, and other securities may allow you to avoid the capital gains tax and amplify the impact of your giving. If you itemize deductions, you may be eligible to take a charitable deduction for the entire donation amount. Please contact us for assistance to initiate your transfer of assets.

Give through a Donor Advised Fund

Make a gift to YWCA through your donor-advised fund (DAF) to maximize your impact. If you have a DAF, you can use FreeWill’s DAF tool to indicate how you’d like your grant to be allocated, communicate your wishes to YWCA, share the details of your contribution, and navigate to your DAF provider.

Give through your Individual Retirement Account

If you are 70.5 or older and have a traditional Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you can make a donation from your IRA account. Using our secure online tool, you can learn more and fill out the forms from your IRA custodian in just a few minutes, or print out the forms to fill them out offline.

Give Crypto

We accept donations of Ethereum, Bitcoin, and other cryptocurrencies. When you donate crypto to YWCA, you may avoid capital gains tax, meaning a larger impact on our work today. Donating your crypto may also allow you to receive a federal tax deduction against your income tax for the full value of the gift. This gives us more ways to fund our mission and can provide you with extra benefits.
