In the Company of Women raises money to support the YWCA’s programs and services for survivors of domestic violence and homelessness, including Becky’s House®. Introduced in 1999, this is the largest annual fund raiser for the YWCA of San Diego County.


Leslie Morgan SteinerWe are pleased to announce Leslie Morgan Steiner as the Keynote Speaker for this year’s event. Leslie Morgan Steiner is the author of Crazy Love, a memoir about domestic violence, and Mommy Wars, an anthology which explores the polarization between stay-at-home and career moms in the United States today. She writes a weekly column, Two Cents on Modern Motherhood, for Mommy Tracked.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in serving as Table Captains for this event. Table Captains are an integral part of the success of In the Company of Women. They are the ambassadors who invite guests to the event and reach out to others in the community to spread the word about the YWCA’s programs and services.
