Mom and Children

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As a provider of critical emergency and social services for vulnerable adults and children, we want to assure you that we are still serving our community. And although the environment is challenging for everyone, it is further amplified for those fleeing domestic violence or seeking safe housing with limited resources. These are the times when people need us most and we will continue to serve them — as we have for the past 112 years.

In response to current events, we have made slight modifications to our services including closing our administrative offices to visitors, suspending in-kind donation drop offs, and conducting certain client services by phone or video. We are also following all public health guidelines to ensure client and staff safety. Rest assured that we are still accessible by phone and email for general business and client services. Additionally, our 24-hour domestic violence hotline remains open to provide life-saving services for survivors.

We are grateful for the ongoing support from our partners, donors, vendors, volunteers and entire community. And, we are proud of our extraordinary staff and their unwavering dedication to serve. Together, we will push through these uncertain times and ensure our clients have the safe housing and services they need to gain lasting freedom from violence and abuse.

If you would like to help our families, financial contributions will have the greatest impact at this time.

Please stay safe and healthy – and remember to show kindness and compassion each day.

With gratitude,

Heather Finlay
