America is turning 250. Since 1858, YWCA has stood at the intersection of racial and gender justice — helping shape a nation still striving to live up to its promise. Amid the fireworks, parades, and familiar tributes to the founders, one question lingers: when we tell the story of this country, whose story do we choose to tell — and whose do we leave out?

Celebrating Sara F. Moser and Her Lifelong Commitment to Equality for Women
Sara Moser was a self-described activist, political junky, teacher, and homemaker who we honored with the YWCA Dedication Award in 2017 to recognize her steadfast advocacy for women. Her personal journey of activism began at the League of Women Voters in the mid-1950s.

Until Justice Just Is, an initiative of YWCA USA, honors 250 years of the American democratic experiment while exposing inequities, uplifting the struggle for access to the ballot, and advocating for a future where every American’s vote is protected, valued, and accessible.
